Don’t Escape. DESIGN.
Most people drift. They follow a map someone else drew.
We’re here to rip that up. Design isn’t safe. But it’s yours.
A Texas Nomad is for people who choose the hard way, the honest way. The ones designing lives that actually fit.
This isn’t fantasy. It’s a blueprint for starting over. For building something real. For staying sharp on the move.
For staying ahead of the chaos.
What We Believe
Freedom isn’t found. It isn’t given. It’s built. And without structure, it’s fragile.
We believe in high-agency living. In reinvention, curiosity, and taking back control. We believe the future belongs to people who can adapt, move, create, and stay sane doing it whether that’s on planes, in coworking spaces, or under coconut trees.
That’s what and who we make tools for.
Who’s Behind This
Edward McWilliams II has lit a cigarette off a volcano, kissed girls in eight languages, and talked his way out of danger in fluent Spanish.
He’s been shipwrecked off the coast of Belize. Robbed at shotgun-point in Russia. Studied Shakespeare at Oxford. Spent a birthday in Morocco trading for indigo with the blue people, and Christmas in Havana chasing a legendary cowboy hat.
He’s made films in Hollywood and Paris. Walked red carpets at Sundance, Tribeca, and SXSW. Then walked away from the meetings, the myths, the noise. And started again.
He’s made mistakes. Big ones. But the biggest would’ve been never leaving.
Now he lives in Medellín, where the mountains hum, the orchids seduce, and reinvention is a daily act.
A Texas Nomad is his latest missive: a sharp, honest platform for people who live off-script and design lives that actually fit.
The road doesn’t call everyone. But when it does, it doesn’t whisper.

Meet RIO, your snarky, overqualified co-pilot.
He’s wired into everything—facts, hacks, and the BS they don’t tell you. He’s been there, done that, and still thinks most gurus need a nap.
If there’s a shortcut worth taking, he’s already flown over it. Twice.

Named after a river. Built like a dart. I sip sugar water and spit truth. Let’s ride.
Why “Don’t Escape. DESIGN.”
Because you don’t have to move to be a nomad. This is about mindset.
Escape is a reaction. Design is a rebellion.
Escape is temporary. Design is sustainable.
This isn’t running away. It’s running toward something better. With intention.
Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you - it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.
